How To Make Homemade Carp Fishing Baits With Rose And Sweet Rosehip Flavours!

Posted by Magic Fishing on Monday, January 17, 2011

Many anglers know about the great success of using alternative flavours and in particular natural flavours rich in bioactive components that turn fish on! Here are some unique suggestions on how to create your own rose and rosehip flavour baits and to reap loads of sweet rewards in cold water or warmer conditions!
You can very easily produce your own secret homemade baits with alternative rose type flavours. Of course you might simply add a rose flavour to any of your favourite boilie base mix. But I very much doubt that you have ever used rose flavoured spod or stick mix, rose flavoured pellets or ground baits! It might seem a bit more normal these days to use something like aniseed essential oil, or fennel oil or geranium oil. Using rose oil is such a different alternative, and proven highly successful.
Rose oil is very powerful and you only need a few drops mixed in liquid lecithin from CW Baits, further mixed with water mixed with icing sugar or glucose syrup for example, and you have a really potent flavour. If you are feeling hard up you can even use rose water and boost this with intense sweetener and perhaps betaine HCL and a sweet flavour enhancer.
My best recommendation of all is if you can get them is fresh rosehips. Simply pulp then to extract the extremely rich juice, boost with some rose oil and use this in your baits. The list of active components in this juice is just fantastic and will make your baits totally different and seriously attractive and healthy. Also rosehip juice can made into wine and you can enjoy that while fishing, as well as using this in your baits!
Of course you can use rose flavours of many kinds and forms on their own. Or you might mix them with other substances. Who do you know has made baits using geranium oil, aniseed oil and rose oil? What about making Tutti Fruiti type bait with added rose oil made with added liquid lecithin to improve impacts of the oils in the bait!
I feel that adding chopped and ground nuts in baits with rose flavours really is a great idea and I would go for making soft baits not hard ones. To do this one method is simply to very quickly steam your baits so they really do not get a hard skin and remain as paste inside; why not try it!
I have used the decongestant called Olbas oil, loads in the past. They have changed the original recipe, so part of the internal and external impacts on carp are altered now, but I certainly still rate it very highly for cold water as well as warm water use! You could easily boost this oil mixture with rose oil, and know for certain no-one lese is using this unique combination on your water.
I know very many of the potencies, chemical reactions and internal impacts that components of both of these oils have on both us and carp physiology and I assure you will want to try them!
